Technical Specifications of Cable trays and Cable Trunkings:

1. Material: Low Carbon GI Steel coated with Zinc, usually through Hot Dip Galvanizing, to provide strong corrosion resistance and long life (20–50 Years) for cost-effective performance in construction and industrial applications.
2. Profile height for Cable Tray: 25mm, 50mm and 100mm.
3. Profile Hole size is 12.5 × 25mm to facilitate good air circulation.
4. Cable trays are available with and without covers, and Cable Trunkings are available with covers only.
5. Cable Trays on wall systems are to be used with wall mounting brackets installed on the walls.
6. Cable Trays in Ceiling Systems use Rawl bolts and threaded rods and are suspended from ceilings with ceiling hanging channels.
7. In layer hanging systems, the minimum space between layers should be 250mm for easy accessibility of cables inside the ceiling hanging arrangement.
8. The maximum load that cable trays can carry depends on design support spacing based on a simple beam span requirement:
   • 100–110 Kg/Meter with 1.0mm thickness.
   • 149 Kg/Meter for 1.2mm and above thickness.
